Ohio Buckeye

• Heartwood is creamy white to light yellow, which isn’t clearly depicted from the white sapwood. The wood may also have grayish streaks.
• Grain can range between straight to slightly interlocked with a fine and even texture.
• Perishable and has poor decay resistance.
• Generally easy to work well with hand and machine tools, however, its low density may result in fuzzy surfaces.
• While still green, the material has an unpleasant putrid smell that greatly subsides upon drying.
