• Heartwood ranges from pinkish to a darker reddish brown, while the sapwood in comparison is paler.
• Grain is generally straight to slightly interlocked with an uneven coarse texture.
• Very good natural luster.
• Moderately durable in regard to both rot resistance and insect resistance.
• Easy to work with both hand and machine tools, however, the resin may gum up cutters.
• Glues and finishes well.
• Produces a fresh citrusy cedar scent while being worked.
