• Heartwood can range from red, orange, violet, and brown. The sapwood is a pale yellowish white.
• Grain is straight with a very fine and even texture resulting in a high natural luster.
• Very durable in both rot resistance and termite resistance.
• Very difficult to work due to high cutting resistance and density.
• Among the heaviest woods on Earth.
