• Grain can range from straight to slightly wavy with a medium to coarse texture with a natural luster.
• Moderately durable in decay resistance, however, it is not resistant to insect attack.
• Works well with hand and machine tools, however, it has a blunting effect on cutters.
• Stains, glues, and finishes beautifully.
• Has a resinous odor while being worked on.
• Very stiff and strong.
