• Durable; less susceptible to decay, insect infestation, and mold.
• ONLY USED FOR EXTERIOR- due to the chemicals that are used in the treatment process (typically chromated copper arsenate and pentachlorophenol) it is highly recommended that this type of material only be used for outside purposes.
• Most cost-effective building material.
• Once wet, it expands and can sometimes even crack.
• Stable and strong; can take abuse.
• More flexible than most hardwoods.
• Lightweight; lighter than Extira.
• Yellowish green to tannish green in color.
• Coarse in texture with a straight to wavy grain.
• INEXPENSIVE
